Purchase of Non Fiction books for guided reading. Books will be aligned with CA State Standards in Science, Math and Social Studies. Books help prepare students for standardized testing, district testing and reading to learn after they graduate.
Audio books and equipment to enrich the established Accelerated Reading Program. Will help those Oral learners in standard reading instruction. Students will strengthen their fluency rate and build vocabulary by using the audio book versions in unison with a text copy of the book.

Upgrade the Adobe PageMaker program at Glenshire Elementary and purchase the Adobe PageMaker program for Truckee Elementary. This will enhance the bimonthly newsletter that goes home to every student. Students are included in the process through editing and rewriting for print ready articles
Accelerated Reader Program Supplementary Quizzes and Star Assessment Program. Additional Quizzes for books already designated as part of the Accelerated Reader Program. The Star Assessment will support the ability to maintain leveled reading and promote student motivation to read self-selected books and quizzes at the appropriate reading level
