Books for Grades K-3 to be used in the Reading Circle Program. Books are purchased in groups of 8, that fall within all the various levels of reading. Books are purchased to motivate and stimulate the children to become "readers".
This program will focus on Charactre building, values,caracture traits, grief and anger management. This program gives students tools for better communication, tolerance and acceptance.
Purchase of 14 Brock Magiscope Microscopes for the 4th and 5th Grades at Rideout. They will be used to enhance the various science units such as: Watershed Studies, Composting, Crayfish Life Cycles and Geology.
Star Math Software is to be used as an assessment tool for 3-5th grades. Software provides specific information about the math skills of each student, allowing the teacher to accurately plan for their student's needs in math.
Materials specific to early childhood for creating purposeful work jobs that support district goals and state standards for math and language. Hands on math and language manipulatives.
Phonics and Fluency Programs to develop and implement a comprehensive reading program to help fourth and fith grade students not yet meeting the Language Arts Standards in reading.
Winter Survival Skills Equipment for Donner Trail Program. Transceivers, sleds for hauling equipment/rescue demostration, shovels, probes etc. Will benifit all students in the TTUSD who will attend the program.
