Purchase of trees, wood for benches and pea gravel to augment the existing nature trail. Trail is used by all by all students, is maintained by the students and is meant to introduce students to the flora of the Sierra Nevada Range. Students in biology are required to develop dichotomous keys of the trees in the nature trail. Many Elementary classes visit the trail every year
Grant will provide students with more significant disabilities an alternative or parallel curriculum in the areas of science and history. Funds would purchase age-appropriate resources and specialized text and workbooks.
Grant request is to purchase 400-450 leveled reading books to be used in the home reading program ?book bags.? The book bags are sent home with the students as a tool to reinforce their emerging skills as readers
