To purchase two tools, LAC Std. Test and Lindamood Phonemic Sequencing (LIPS) therapy programs. These tools are designed to identify students who display deficiencies in the areas of phonemic awareness and phonemic sequencing through a standardized assessment. Tahoe Lake Elementary, North Tahoe Middle and High School will share this grant.
To purchase supplemental materials for the current Accelerated Reading Program used by the 1st through 5th grades. Glenshire Elementary is sharing this grant.
To purchase high-interest, multi-leveled, diverse reading resources to establish a comprehensive home library that will support each student’s reading as they progress throughout the year.The goal is to promote literacy-rich home environments by ensuring each child has access to quality literature to read with their families.
To purchase Read Naturally, a tool for teachers, parents and tutors to increase reading fluency, hear the English language read repeatedly, increase reading comprehension and develop a larger vocabulary.
