An additional television will be purchased to help support the Tec Cart already in existance at the school. This cart is used in a variety of classroom serttings and an additional television will mean greater excessibility to a large number of students.
This cooperative grant will be used to purchase computer equipment and accompanying software to incorporate computers into high school science curriculum at both NTHS and THS. This will be used extensively in Physics, Chemistry and Physical Science classes and can also be used in cross-curricular lessons involving all computer classes and math classes.
This request is for funds to cover the installation of a dedicated phone line and modem to a computer in the lab and the cost of the line for one year. This will allow students to connect to T-Trec, a local Bulletin Board. Through the use of the modem students can also interact with other schools.
The goal of this grant is to give the special education students at Sierra Mountain Middle School comparable acces to the core curriculum through interactive computer technology. The grant will allow students to utilize interactive computer and laser disk technology on a daily basis. This grant will purchase a Macintosh LC 575, a printer, a built-in CD and software suitable for the needs of special education students.
Funds for a lego logo control lab and supplemantary books to be used to teach students in the G.A.T.E. program at Tahoe Lake, Rideout, and Kings Beach Schools about robotics and computer programming.
