Environmental Schoolyard

Kings Beach Elementary has partnered with SWEP, The Tahoe Resource Conservation District, The Boys and Girls Club and Project Mana to turn existing planter boxes into a summer community garden and Best Management Practices (BMP) demonstration site. The schoolyard project will promote the use of native plans along with a vegetable garden. All students will have the opportunity for math and LA activities that reinforce standards and connect to the projects
