To purchase equipment that will help build agility and team building into a comprehensive Physical Education program. Materials include parachutes, juggling scarves, fitness bands, beanbags, and sport balls.
Excellence in Education and other community organizations contributed funds to purchase musical instruments for North Tahoe Middle and High School’s band program. These instruments will increase the instrument rental fleet, making band participation more accessible to students.
Magnetic Kits will be used in several classes including Science, History, Foriegn Language, and English as a Second Language. They will be used as a hands on manipulative with dozens of colorful, scientifically accurate visuals that can be layered four deep on the magnetic boards to create informative, dynamic scenarios in all areas.
This request is for funds to cover the installation of a dedicated phone line and modem to a computer in the lab and the cost of the line for one year. This will allow students to connect to T-Trec, a local Bulletin Board. Through the use of the modem students can also interact with other schools.
Library simulations will allow students to experience role playing, active participation and inclusion in projects from law, drama, government, debates and a variety of historical events. They provide practice in speech, writing, designing, drawing and cooperating.
