Purchase of a set of Spanish language literature books and corresponding quiz set and 5 additional quiz sets at varying reading levels. This will increase and expand the Accelerated Reader Program
Purchase of Audio books corresponding to the books currently used in the Language Arts program at SMMS. Audio books would provide all students at SMMS equal access to classroom literature regardless of reading ability
Video Production Equipment to make up this Portable Digital media lab to integrate video production into the classroom. This program will use the new standard in video production (computer editing) to create a digital production studio
Instructional sign placards for the use of the fitness equipment while enhancing the physical education curriculum. These signs will reinforce lessons taught in the classroom involving muscle identification and movement/action.
A new mathematics curriculum has been adopted at SMM that stresses problem solving and local thinking while maximizing a hands on approach. The educational math games reinforce these concepts and will also be used in the Hour of Power, an after school homework club.
With a goal to provide students with a chamber ensemble program, solo and ensemble literature will be purchased to begin a library of musical scored from which students are able to perform. SMM is unable to provide music education in orchestral piano, guitar and choral ares.
