Sagehen Outdoor Education Program - To purchase materials needed for the Sagehen outdoor education program including leveled readers, graphic aids and DVDs to ?frontload? information to the students. The grant will also cover hardware that will help students carry out experiments in the field including bug jars, compasses, hand lenses and aerial nets.
Singing and Acting Out the Core Curriculum. To purchase 28 musical plays and costumes, grades K-5, in order to enrich and enhance the core curriculum subjects being taught.
To purchase math games that support math curriculum in the 4th and 5th grades. The games allow students to practice and reinforce concepts taught in class.
To purchase supplies needed to experience ?hands on? activities for the 5th grade unit of Study on Colonial America. Activities include: candle making, dolls, cross-stitch, tin-smithing, songs, dance and cooking.
