2024-2025 Linda Brown Fellows and Star Awards

The Linda Brown Fellow and Star Award programs are designed to recognize outstanding TTUSD staff who demonstrate originality, innovation, and dedication to teaching and the educational community. 

Please provide a written nomination detailing the nominee's exceptional merits and professional qualifications, providing specific examples. Selection criteria will include, but are not limited to, current teaching techniques,  contributions to the school or the district as a whole, and impact on student success.

Please provide examples of how the nominated individual consistently goes above and beyond in their job and positively impacts students. Focus on both the quality of the individual’s work and their creativity. Strong nominations provide specific examples stating WHY the individual is deserving of the award.

• Nominations will be accepted in either English or Spanish.
• Nominees must be employees of the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District.
• Nominees must be classified (Star Award) or certificated employees (Fellows Award) under contract for at least 80% of the school year.
• Nominees may not have been recipients within the past three years.  Past recipients
• Nominations may not be made by the nominees or their families or by Excellence in Education board members or their families.
• Nominations may NOT be a class assignment, although independent student nominations are encouraged.
• Nominations are due by April 19, 2024.
