Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundation

We are a non-profit foundation that enhances public education and strengthens the student learning experience within the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District (TTUSD). 

Each year, Excellence in Education partners with local businesses and the community to raise money and provide over $250,000 in classroom grants, resources, and partnerships to benefit students and teachers in a school district that encompasses 12 schools in a geographic area of 720 square miles.

Who We Are

We are a group of North Lake Tahoe community members who are passionate about supporting education through grants and programs that benefit the teachers and students at Tahoe Truckee Unified School District. The Excellence in Education Foundation is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors and Advisory Board of over 30 community members. We serve approximately 4,000 students in a school district that encompasses 12 schools in a geographic area of 720 square miles. Funds raised through community donations, partnerships, and fundraising campaigns are funneled back into the community, directly supporting local youth and the public school system in North Lake Tahoe.

We award grants to TTUSD teachers through an application process and partner with the school district on key initiatives designed to have a high impact on student learning.
